
The American School of Ulaanbaatar (ASU) proudly hosted its annual STEM Competition, organized by Mu Alpha Theta, bringing together both middle and high school students to showcase their talents and skills across a range of academic disciplines.
The competition began with elimination rounds during the first week, featuring subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, General Science, Mathematics, and Computer Science. The second week highlighted Math/Pi Week, with engaging activities including the Pi Memory Challenge and Pi Day celebrations. The final rounds took place during the third week, culminating on Spirit Day with the STEM Field Champion Round, marking the conclusion of this exciting month-long academic event.
In the Middle School division, top performers included Ayalguu Dolgion (Grade 6 Mathematics Gold), Anar Gantulga (Grade 7 Mathematics Gold), and Tselmeg Bayanmunkh (Grade 8 Mathematics Gold). Ankhiluun Battulga also stood out with multiple awards, earning Gold in General Science and Bronze in ICT.
In the High School division, outstanding achievements were earned by Tsenddorj Battur (Chemistry Gold), Suvd Gerelt-Od (Physics Gold and Upper High School Mathematics Gold), Nomin-Erdene Norjinbat (Biology Gold), Ariun-Erdene Angarag (Lower High School Mathematics Gold), and Orgilbold Battogtokh (Computer Science Gold).
