The story of the American School of Ulaanbaatar is one of humble beginnings in 2006, followed by steady growth and continuous development.
The American School of Ulaanbaatar (ASU) is one of Mongolia’s earliest and leading international schools. Founded in 2006, ASU provides an American-style education for students from Elementary through Secondary School. The school is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) in California, USA, ensuring that it meets internationally recognized standards of academic excellence and maintains a strong commitment to continuous improvement.

The school is organized into two divisions: Elementary School and Secondary School, offering a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to develop academically, socially, and personally.

ASU follows an adapted North American curriculum aligned with the Common Core standards of the United States. Our diverse faculty of experienced educators from around the world brings strong subject expertise and global perspectives to the classroom, helping students develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to succeed in a global community.
