THE AMERICAN SCHOOL OF ULAANBAATAR (ASU)

We are the first elementary and secondary school in Mongolia with a fully equipped learning facility in accordance with international standards of Western education.

Located in the Khan-Uul district of Ulaanbaatar, our school is situated on a 2.5 hectare site, embraced by the beautiful natural surroundings near the south-east base of Mount Zaisan, just a 10 minute ride from Ulaanbaatar's city center.  ASU is a co-educational, non-sectarian international school for youngsters and adolescents who are academically motivated to learn.  We offer programs unique to Mongolia, from Pre-school to Grade 12.

We are an international school in every sense of the term.  Our students come from all over the world, representing many different countries.  Our curriculum is based on the highest of standards, utilizing the curriculum of the Ontario, Canada school system, which is internationally recognized with specific learning outcomes.

We also have an international teaching staff, all of whom have professional teacher training. They hail from Canada, the USA, the UK and Australia.  And finally, our high standards and flexible program lead to admissions to leading universities around the world, particularly in the USA, the UK, Canada and other English speaking countries.

All of our courses are taught in the English language.  We have a formal screening process in place for most applicants, to assess their need for additional ESL (English as a Second Language) courses.
