ASU Career Fair

ASU CAREER FAIR

The American School of Ulaanbaatar, hosted its very first Career Fair day for students in both Middle & High school on the 3rd February 2017. This event was initiated by High school students and was led by Ms Ariun Zorigt, (Guidance Counselor), with support from Mr. Williams (College Prep tutor) & Ms Eunju (Guidance Assist). Guest speakers from a wide variety of different organizations were invited to speak to our young people about their careers with the aim that students would be better equipped to make informed choices with regards to their postsecondary studies and pathways to prospective careers. Each workshop consisted of 3 guest speakers with a maximum of 15 students. The workshop session lasted for approximately 30 minutes and the students had the opportunity to attend 3 different workshops during the Career Fair.

Fulfilling our Mission:

Our mission as a school is to prepare students to succeed and acquire the skills and attitudes necessary to be intellectually reflective, lead a lifetime of meaningful work, and to become caring and ethical citizens. Thus we are committed to the development and growth of the whole child by providing stimulating academic and co-curricular programs that prepare students to achieve success in an ever changing global society.

National Honor Society Thanks You

The National Honor Society chapter at the American School of Ulaanbaatar wanted to express our gratitude to our students, parents, staff, and community members for supporting our winter cause, the Happy Children for New Year. Our aim was to raise 650,000 MNT in three weeks, but because of your generosity and support we were able to reach our goal only in one and a half weeks.

We are also happy to let you know that we wired the funds to the Kindergarten at the Veloo Foundation, and the children are going to a theater and watch a children’s play for their New Year celebration.

Thank you very much for your support again, and you all have a wonderful New Year!
